Armenian National Committee of America
The Armenian National Committee of America (ANCA) is the largest and most influential Armenian American grassroots political organization. They focus on advocating for Armenian American communities, coordinating advocacy efforts to support Armenia's sovereignty, and holding Azerbaijan accountable for its aggression against Armenia. ANCA offers various ways to get involved, such as taking action through action alerts, donating to support their cause, attending events, volunteering, and participating in educational programs like internships and scholarships. They also work on issues like the Armenian Genocide recognition, Artsakh (Nagorno Karabakh) rights, US-Armenia ties, and advocating for legislative initiatives on Capitol Hill.
Founded in 1918, the ANCA has been actively engaging with legislators across different U.S. states to empower local activists and advance the political interests of the Armenian American community. Their efforts include calling for U.S. assistance for Artsakh refugees, expanding military aid to Armenia while suspending aid to Azerbaijan, and advocating for justice regarding the Artsakh conflict and the Armenian Genocide. The organization continues to grow by adding new roles such as a Chief Technology and Innovation Officer to enhance their advocacy platforms with innovative technologies like AI.
