Garwood's Jewelers was founded on August 18, 1944 by Cloyd C. Garwood in Fort Collins. Originally located at 144 S. College Avenue, the store offered fine jewelry, watches, diamonds, and gifts. After briefly moving to Estes Park in the late 1940s, Garwood returned to Fort Collins and reopened the store at its current location of 131 S. College Avenue.

In 1966, Earl Reider, who had been working as a watchmaker for Garwood since 1954, purchased the store with his wife Mary. Their son Randy joined the business in 1974 and apprenticed under his father to learn fine jewelry making and repair. Randy is a Certified Gemologist and Registered Jeweler through the American Gem Society.

In 1993, Randy and his wife Debra took over ownership of Garwood's Jewelers. They continue to run the store with their son Bradley, who has trained as a jeweler and apprenticed under his father since his teenage years.

With over 70 years of history, Garwood's Jewelers has become a fixture in Fort Collins and is known for its fine quality jewelry and personalized service. They have served multiple generations of customers for engagements, anniversaries, graduations, birthdays, and other special occasions.

The store is open Monday to Friday from 10am to 5:30pm and on Saturdays from 10am to 4:30pm.
